Shraboni Ghosal has the titles of 'Sangeet Visharad' in North Indian Classical Music, Rabindrasangeet and Nazrulgeeti. Trained from the age of four, she is a disciple of Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty and Shrimati Gita Roy and belongs to Patiala and Bishnupur Gharanas.
She develops Raagas, using unique and subtle skills within her Khayals, Dhrupads and Dhamars and embellishes them with intricate ornamentation, demonstrating a wonderful vocal range. Shraboni's profound emotionalism and vast intellectual approach towards
the raagas, create a truly aesthetic atmosphere, with an ambience of deep emotions and feelings.
A vocal virtuoso, Shraboni has sung from BBC Radio several times. She is a well known singer of Indian Classical Music in the U.K. Shraboni has equal expertise in singing Bhajans, Rabindrasangeet, Nazrulgeeti, Thumris and Raagpradhans. She has performed with many world famous artists and has participated in international conferences and seminars.
With a B.Mus. Degree and also trained in Western Music, she is a highly knowledgeable Singer as well as a brilliant Musician. Shraboni likes to play the piano, write, paint, draw and compose poetry and music in her spare time.
